MY THOUGHTs ..........On Tantra Mantra

One night I had awaken from a terrible dream. After a few seconds from awakening, I opened my eyes and saw this white figure that looked to be a little girl. I had closed my eyes in fear and when I peeped them open once more, she was in a different position! I was too afraid that if I opened my eyes again that she would be right next to my bed! So I kept my eyes closed and went back to sleep. The next morning I told my sister and mother what had happened, even about the dream. They didn't believe me and said I was just seeing things and that from having that dream I was imagining the figure.
That night, I had again awaken but not from a dream... My body can feel things and when it feels there is a spirit around my body will wake me, I saw her again! I was terrified! I didn't know what to do so, once again, I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't, not with the fear I was feeling. Once I heard my mom was awake, I told her I was seeing her again and she said "it's ok just try to go to sleep please". So I tried and it worked. But believe it or not, I kept seeing her! So the next night, after seeing her for three nights in a row, my mom and I prayed to that girl to leave me alone, and she did.
My mother said "Maybe God asked her to come to heaven...". I agreed, it made a lot of sense if you ask me! So that night I prayed to that girl to leave me alone and that I never wanted to encounter her again. Ever since then I haven't had any sign of her being here but I do know she is watching over me."LAST saturday my mother was forced me to go for temple 'PISAACH MOCHAN" AND a guru give me a black thread. Now my life has been better with out her encounters and I'm becoming happier and more safe. But I'm still afraid of spirits.

Ganga continues to face pollution

The condition of the Ganga is deteriorating by the day. There is more sand in it. Though it is declared a 'National River', no efforts are being made to clean it. If water is released from the dam, then only the water level will increase in the river.

Problems for the River Ganga are far from over. It remains immensely polluted. Filled with chemical wastes, sewage and even the remains of human and animal corpses, it poses major health risks to around 400 million people living by its side and all others who benefit from it.

The uses in India for the river are nearly endless; the main functions of the river are Agricultural use, Industry, as an energy source, transportation, Drinking, bathing, and baptisms.

Along the river there are also many industries such as textiles, paper, leather, and many more who use the water for power, cleaning, etc. Power, which is used by industries, is also used by the common population.

Babies are baptized in the river because they believe it cleanses the child, also when a person dies and is cremated their remains are released into the river for the same reason, because they believe it cleanses the soul.

In Hinduism, the river Ganga is personified as Goddess and holds an important place in the Hindu religion. In Hindu mythology, it is believed that bathing in the river Ganga causes the remission of sins and facilitates the attainment of salvation or nirvana.

This deep-rooted truth is proved by the fact that people travel from distant places to immerse the ashes of their kin in the waters of the Ganga at Varanasi or other places located on the banks of this holy river.

The Ganga, especially, is the river of India, beloved of herpeople, round which are intertwined her memories, her hopesand fears, her songs of triumph, her victories and herdefeats. She has been a symbol of India's age-long cultureand civilization, ever changing, ever flowing, and yet everthe same Ganga.

The water of Ganga (called Gangajal) is stored in most Indian homes as "sacred water" and fed to those on death-bed as the "last meal" on earth.

Ganga is revered as daughter of Meru, as the mother of Bhishma, and Jahnavi (emerging from the thighs of sage Jahnu).

Working and Living Conditions Of Woman Workers in India .....

Most women workers in factories in India are in their early to mid-twenties, and many are the first generation in their families to leave home and seek employment. Most have very little schooling, usually 10 years, with older workers having as little as 5 years of schooling. They are for the most part untrained and when they begin working in factories, often begin in the ‘Helper’ category and pick up skills on the job. Very few factories offer comprehensive training programs for new workers.

Women account for a small proportion of the formal Indian labor force, even though the number of female main workers has grown faster in recent years than that of their malecounterparts.The 1991 census shows that the number of male main workers increased 23 percent since the 1981 census while the number of female main workers increased 40 percent. However, women still accounted for only 23 percent (64.3 million) of the total.

With the shocking and huge number of cases that we read in the daily newspapers, we do not see any local citizens brought to justice for committing such abusive acts".Sadly, the plight of domestic workers has been ignored not only by the State, but also by civil societies in Bahrain and the Gulf; they have become invisible to society due to the social stigma attached to their status as low-income earning migrants.
